Questions and Answers – GLOBAL PAYMENT™ Mastercard®

You may be aware that CUETS Financial* provides certain financial services in connection with the GLOBAL PAYMENT Mastercard® card program. However, the relationship between Coastal Community Credit Union and CUETS Financial has ended. Please note, this change does not affect your credit union account, but effective May 22, 2019, your GPC Card has become inactive. You will be unable to use your GPC Card to make any transactions including purchases and recurring bill payments.

Full access to your credit union account and funds remain accessible through debit, in branch and online.

As a result of the discontinuation of GLOBAL PAYMENT Mastercard, we understand you may have questions. We’ve provided some information below that may capture some of your top questions and we would be happy to connect with you to answer any other questions you may have. We are also able to help you determine what card product will meet your needs going forward.

When will my GLOBAL PAYMENT Mastercard stop working?

The card will no longer work after May 22, 2019.

What about my pre-authorized payments?

If you have pre-authorized payments connected to your GLOBAL PAYMENT Mastercard, you will need to contact the businesses debiting your account directly and make alternative payment arrangements before May 22, 2019. If you need assistance with this process, please connect with us to work through the required changes.

How will I access my account after May 22, 2019?

Your account (chequing, line of credit, overdraft etc.) will continue to work the same as it did before. You can access your funds in branch, online or through an ATM using your credit union Member Card® or Coastal Community’s Interactive Teller Machines.

If you don’t have a Member Card attached to your account, you should have received one in the mail. If you did not receive a Member Card, please contact us.

What happens to my choice rewards points after May 22, 2019?

I have the GLOBAL PAYMENT Mastercard with Travel Insurance. What do I need to know about my coverage through this card?

Effective May 22, 2019, the Inclusive Travel Medical Insurance provided by TD Life Insurance Company has been terminated, even if your ticket was purchased with card before it expired. If you have any questions about your Inclusive Travel Medical Insurance Coverage, please call Allianz Global Assistance at 1.866.520.8827 Monday to Saturday, 5am-6pm PST. Emergency Medical Care/Treatment on or after May 22, 2019 will not be covered. If your trip extends beyond this date, please consider arranging for appropriate alternate coverage.
