We have received numerous reports of phishing attempts that appear to come from CCCU’s Cyber Security Department. People are receiving automated messages to confirm a large retail purchase, and if they respond, they will be prompted to provide personal and banking information.

Please do not respond to these spoofed calls.

Spoofed caller ID information may make it appear as though a call is coming from CCCU, or your phone might even slide the message in line with previous genuine messages from the credit union, making it appear legitimate.

CCCU will NEVER ask you to:

  • Disclose online banking passwords, PINs, or other credentials;
  • Disclose debit/credit card numbers or account numbers;
  • Disclose 2-step verification codes;
  • Allow Remote access to your phone, tablet, or computer;
  • Purchase cryptocurrency or gift cards; or
  • Hide the reason for a transaction from the branch

Spoofed caller ID information may make it appear as though a call is coming from CCCU, or your phone might even slide the message in line with previous genuine messages from the credit union, making it appear legitimate.

Please contact CCCU immediately at 1-888-741-1010 if a scammer has gained access to your personal or banking information. We will help to ensure your accounts are safe and secure.
