Protect your money: Report fraud

We work around the clock to safeguard your accounts. In the event you suspect fraud, report it right away.

Fraud: Recognize it. Report it. Stop it.

Learn how to recognize fraud and the steps to take if you suspect you’ve been targeted.

Recognize it

  • Phone, text, email and yes even fax or letter requests for banking or personal information.
  • Email request to “unlock” or “verify” your account
  • Email offer for a large transfer of money (inheritance, charity donation, etc.).
  • A too-good-to-be-true offer (investments, free gifts, free travel, etc.).
  • Any unsolicited communication asking you to click on a link or open an attachment
  •  Unusual transactions in your accounts

Report it

  • Don’t respond to a phone, text or email request for banking details.
  • Don't click on links or open attachments in an email or popup message.
  • Do contact us immediately if you receive a suspicious communication pretending to originate from Coastal Community Credit Union.
