New Online Banking Q&A

I'd like to preview the new online banking display.

Why did my online banking display change?

We updated online banking to give it a cleaner and modernized display.

Is this a legitimate change?

This is a great question because it means you're being critical of online changes, which is a common trait of phishing and other cyber security attacks. You can be confident in knowing that Coastal Community initiated the display change.

Do I need to do anything differently? How has the login procedure changed?

In online banking, only the display has changed. All other functionalities remain the same, including:

  • Login procedure
  • Login credentials
  • Information within your online banking (eTransfer recipients, bill vendors and recurring payments)

What are the benefits of online banking?

Online banking is one of the best ways to take care of your finances - any time, any day. You can pay bills, send money via Interac e-Transfer® , even contribute to your RRSP. If you go digital, you might want to suppress your paper statements and use e-Statements instead. Take care of that in your Profile and Preferences section in online banking.

Do I have to go into a branch to sign up for online banking?

No, you can sign up via the online option, which is 100% self-serve. Click here to get started (please note that you'll need to know your member number).

What is the Alerts feature found in online banking?

Alerts will help you stay on top of your finances while informing you of important account and security activities. You can choose to have Alerts notifications sent to your phone or email. Learn more about them here
